In 2004, Nouf Al-Marwaai started teaching yoga in Jeddah as the Saudi Arabia Yoga School. By 2010, it expanded into the Arab Yoga Foundation as yoga spread across the region.

Nouf’s dedication led to yoga’s official recognition as a sport in Saudi Arabia in 2021, resulting in the formation of the Saudi Yoga Committee under the Olympic Committee, securing yoga’s place in the Kingdom’s wellness sector.

Nouf began her yoga journey in India in 2004 as Saudi Arabia’s first certified instructor. In 2018, she was awarded the Padma Shri by India for her global efforts in spreading yoga.
