Day 1: Spiritual immersion and cultural beginnings

  • Morning: Sunrise traditional yoga complimented with face yoga session for deeper cleansing followed by a philosophy discourse
  • Afternoon: Cultural workshop: Engage in traditional warli art workshop, rangoli to connect with Pune’s rich cultural heritage
  • Evening: Saree draping and Aarti at Morya Gosavi Temple: Seek blessings at the sacred Morya Gosavi Temple, dedicated to the saint-poet Morya Gosavi from the 14th century

Day 2: Yoga, meditation, and devotional bliss

  • Morning: Yoga and meditation: Awaken your inner self with a session led by the sattvic yogi community at banks of sacred Indrayani river
  • Yoga on the Banks of River Indrayani: Find serenity in nature with yoga sessions against the picturesque backdrop of the Indrayani River
  • Kirtan and Bhajan session: Participate in soul-stirring devotional singing in the ambiance of a sacred temple.
  • Sightseeing cultural exploration: Visit Dehu Temple and Gatha Mandir to pay homage to Saint Tukaram, a key figure in the Bhakti movement

Day 3: Nature’s tranquility and Bird Valley experience

Morning: Yoga Retreat session: Immerse yourself in sunrise yoga and yoga philosophy discourse

Shiva Temple hike: Embark on a spiritual journey through lush trails leading to a serene Shiva temple, experience meditation and mantra chanting in the cave temple. While returning back plastic trash collection as a part of Karma yoga.

  • Afternoon: Bird Valley excursion: Witness the enchanting world of birds come alive in a captivating sound and light show, glide through tranquil waters with boating at Bird Valley.
  • Evening: Chair yoga, Ayurveda traditional pada abhyanga and shiropichu (head massage)

Day 4: Hiking adventure and ancient caves exploration

  • Morning: Sunrise traditional yoga complimented with yogic purification techniques for respiratory health (jal neti)
  • Afternoon: Bedse caves exploration: Explore ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves with intricate carvings and stupas dating back 2200 years
  • Evening: Chair yoga, ISKON Temple Prasadam: Indulge in the blessed offerings of temple prasadam

Day 5: Devotional finale and farewell

  • Morning: Devotional gathering: Visit to Jain temple to conclude the spiritual retreat
  • Afternoon: Special Jain food, Free time or optional activities: Participants can choose to explore the local area or engage in optional activities like shopping at local market

Instructors

Vikas Dr. Vikas Chothe

Swasti’s founder, Dr.Vikas Chothe, holds an MD, PhD in Ayurvedic medicine with Yoga Certification from AYUSH and QCI India. He has worked as a Yoga Ambassador for the government of India and is currently an examiner for YCB Yoga examination at TQ Cert (TATA projects) for the Yoga Certification Board. He has been working as a lead examiner since the beginning of the Yoga Certification Scheme in 2016 and has conducted exams for more than 3,000 students till date. Dr.Vikas has been invited by Indian Embassy Austria, Malaysia and Armenia and has visited USA, China, Malaysia, Italy and European countries for propagation of Yoga and Ayurveda. He is also yoga school auditor for the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) creating quality standards in yoga schools globally.

Dr. Shwetambari Chothe

Dr.Shwetambari Chothe is a Level 4 Yoga Master certified by Government of India, gold medalist in Masters in Yogashastra, consulting homeopath and co-founder of Swasti Yoga Center. Since childhood, she had a keen interest in yoga and Indian culture. She is a great chef with Ayurveda healthy cooking as her specialty. Qualifications: MD Homoeopath, Anatomy and Physiology expert, yoga teacher and practitioner for six years.
